KKR vs DC Highlights IPL 2024: Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) defeated Delhi Capitals (DC) by 7 wickets in the 47th match of IPL 2024 on Monday. DC posted a score of 153/9 after winning the toss at the Eden Gardens Stadium in Kolkata. In reply, KKR easily chased the target by scoring 157 runs at the loss of 3 wickets in 16.3 overs. Philip Salt played a stormy innings for KKR. He scored 68 runs in 33 balls with the help of 7 fours and 5 sixes. He added 79 runs for the first wicket with Sunil Narine (10). Akshar Patel dismissed Narine in the seventh over and Salt in the ninth over. Rinku Singh (11) lost his wicket cheaply.
After this, captain Shreyas Iyer and Venkatesh Iyer batted steadily. Both of them made a partnership of 57 runs for the fourth wicket and KKR returned victorious. Shreyas scored unbeaten 33 runs in 23 balls with the help of three fours and one six. Venkatesh contributed unbeaten 26 runs in 23 balls. He hit two fours and one six. Earlier, spinner Kuldeep Yadav scored the most runs for Delhi. He played an unbeaten inning of 35 runs in 26 balls with the help of 5 fours and one six. After winning the toss and opting to bat, DC did not have a good start. Prithvi Shaw (13) was out in the second over. Fraser-McGurk (12), Axar Patel (15) and Abhishek Porel (18) could not play big innings.
Captain Rishabh Pant (27) tried to take control of DC’s innings. He made a partnership of 31 runs with Porel for the fourth wicket and 25 runs with Patel for the fifth wicket. Shai Hope (6) and Tristan Stubbs (1) did not bat. DC lost 6 wickets for 99 runs. It seemed that the visiting team might not even be able to touch the figure of 120. But Kuldeep maintained the lead well till the end. He made a partnership of 29 runs for the ninth wicket with Rasikh Dar Salaam (8). For KKR, Varun Chakraborty took three wickets while Vaibhav Arora and Harshit Rana took two wickets each. Mitchell Starc and Sunil Narine got one wicket each.
